5 Reasons why Travel is important
![]() |
Travelling is something which allows our mind to expand its exploring ability.
If you are a student than by default you wanna travel much and want to explore many places in your student life,
if you are above student age then many factors come into existence which stops you from travelling the places you want. like after graduation you just want to seek jobs and earn money which may be of your passion or not its all depends on you. or we can say travelling benefits are much but due to these factors, we are unable to travel to the places we want.
as we all know there are many benefits of travelling still we are unable to plan trips, being preyed by cancelled plans which were formed many times at different places with different friends and people. this is all we know and still, we wanna travel not to many places but at least one or two places.
So if you need a little help convincing yourself or others why travelling is a worthy pursuit, here are ten reasons why it’s important. here are certain benefits of travelling...
1. It gets you out of your comfort zone.
When
you start travelling on your own independently then you are stepping out of
your comfort zone, up till now you never had an experience regarding
alone travelling but from the day you start travelling alone you have to manage
various things with you, like the resources for food, for shelter, if you
are going camping, resources for fire, water and many more like these. this all
brings out the best from you and makes you realise that you are made for
travelling, your self-confidence will be at another level, you will know the
value of your time spent at a particular place you visit.
2. It puts life in perspective.
If you’ve grown up with all the comforts of the modern world and had the opportunity to go to school or even university, it’s easy to forget that this isn’t the case for everyone in the world. Travelling to other countries, particularly those in the developing world, can be a big wake up call and put your own life in perspective. Things that you may take for granted, like having running hot water, modern appliances and the opportunity to study and get a well-paid job at the end of it are not available to everyone, purely because of where they were born. You’ll probably come away with a new appreciation for everything you have and the opportunities that life throws your way.
3. You’ll make friends from across the globe
Travel around the globe leads to friends from the whole world. you will have many friends and countless people you met in your lifetime. imagine regular phone calls from all over the world talking to you in various languages, your friends and the people you had met, these moments would be priceless. The interactions you’ll have will provide an incredible local insight into cultural traditions, beliefs and way of life on a communal level – something that you just can’t experience on TV or in a textbook.
4. It looks great on your resume
Taking a Gap Year or time out to travel and volunteer always looks good on a resume, and employers see it as a sign of maturity and worldly experience that will make you a better employee. Most understand that travel improves confidence and independent thinking, and they are secretly hoping that you’ll step into your new professional role having seen some of the worlds and (perhaps) having kicked the travel bug a little!
5. You’ll discover the world’s incredible cultural diversity
Even if you live in a multicultural society and there are people of all beliefs and cultures living in your city, this is only scratching the surface of what is out there. Travel is a great way to immerse yourself in the cultural diversity that exists in our world. From festivals to food, weddings and funeral ceremonies, it’s mind-blowing
the unique ways different ethnic groups and tribes choose to celebrate life and the ancient customs that dictate everyday living.
